Marsha Cover Concepts

This is the first time I tried to draw a cover for Marsha. The Darwyn Cooke inspiration is shining through very much still. I liked the idea that maybe she just crashed on Mars or something but still had a good attitude about it.

I penciled this in a rushed sort of manner. Much of it is blending a few styles and the background is obviously poorly blended. But, just to get the idea as to how this would look as a cover was important for me to try.

Another unfinished cover concept. This time the blank space where the title would be is cropped out. At this time I was still heavily considering the backpack but struggling with how she’d wear it and keep it on. This was a fair try, but I think just the boots is the way to go.
